Microfiction Monday

Welcome to Microfiction Monday
where a picture paints 140 characters, or even fewer.

Above is this week’s picture, and here’s my story:

“May 1918.
I told myself: I would not join the navy even if I could.
But she surely looks cute in that top: I would not mind having one.”

Today I am grateful for imagination.

  1. Hi! I had this on my blog last year as the Writer's Challenge [all still available] & it was a lot of fun! I have a Writer's Challenge 2010 that's a little different you & your readers might enjoy, too. I love flash/mini/micro/tweet-fiction and published lots in my online zine The Green Tricycle. Am planning on doing the same in the Sunflower Ranch Anthology. Hope you can contribute! Keep up the great work here! 😀
