Welcome to Microfiction Monday, where a picture paints 140 characters, or even fewer.
Here’s this week’s picture [painting by Thomas Hart Benton], followed by my story for it —
“I am glad there was water in the barrel: I know it’s dark but can’t you watch where you step? You know we have cows around here…”
Today I am grateful for nature smells.
Good thing the water barrel was close by. We used to use the river, were were already on the way for a Swim. Nice Microfiction Marina. Thanks for stopping by my blog today.
That could be a tricky walk 🙂 LOL.
I am not even going to tell you how many times I got in trouble for washing my feet off in the water trough!
Good thing the moon finally came out!Enjoyed your take on the picture.Cheers!
oww.. poor eyesight… i hope she takes him thru the right path 🙂
In bare feet too … eek!
lol WHY must they leave dark water-filled barrels just lying around? 🙂 fun!
Whoopsie! Good take. :O)
LOL. I liked this one!
I'd be putting my shoes back on if I were him.
He definitely needs to put his shoes on so he doesn't mis-step again! 🙂 I liked it!~Jean
